Cinefilles.ca interviewed Ben and Rowan on the phone recently.

Cinefilles wondered if Girl Meets World had plans to do any fun one-off episodes like ones mentioned previously, or even in the style of horror movie tribute episode “And Then There Was Shawn” (more on that a couple of times in the next few minutes). That’s when the duo revealed that there’s an episode set in 1961 coming right up like a freshly made Chubbie’s hamburger and shake.

“We actually did an episode where we didn’t exactly go back in time, but we kind of did like a flashback episode,” Blanchard said. “It’s called ‘Girl Meets 1961′ and we go back and we play our great grandparents.

Ben said he sees the first season of Girl Meets World as a map for the series.
