Rowan talked to TVinsider.com about why she’s so proud of Girl Meets World, talked Girl Meets The New Year and Riley and Maya’s friendship.

In any other situation, Riley would have gone to Maya. How is she coping without having her best friend to talk to?
Riley’s extremely isolated. She can’t talk to Maya or Lucas about it. She can talk to Farkle about it, but only so much. You don’t talk to your parents about that stuff really so it’s a very isolated place for her. And she’s a people pleaser so she just wants to please everybody else and forgets about herself. So we’ll see what happens!

ABC News interviewed Ben and Rowan about Girl Meets World about how deep Girl Meets World will go like it’s predecessor, Boy Meets World.

So, if “Girl” has a long run like its predecessor, will this Disney version address adult themes like “Boy Mets World” did?

“At the end of the day we want to be the show that tells real life,” said 13-year-old Blanchard in a recent interview.

“If that time ever were to happen I think we would be the show that would do it. I don’t want to make any promises but (creator, showrunner) Michael (Jacobs) is very, very passionate about writing real life,” she said.

“We want to cover episode topics that kids deal with,” added Savage, “I will say that we’re covering topics about relationships and religion and family life and love and marriage and divorce and parenting so we’re really covering a wide array of issues that kids deal with.”

The second season rolls out more characters from “Boy Meets World” like Cory’s best friend Shawn (played by Rider Strong) and their beloved teacher Mr. Feeny, played by William Daniels, along with Will Friedle who played Cory’s older brother Eric.

Savage said season one was meant to establish the show but they’re now more comfortable mixing in past characters with new ones.

“I think it’s a wonderful thing that we’re able to kind of reintroduce these characters to a new audience while slowly letting our long-time viewers know what they’ve been up to. I think our audience appreciates that.”

Girl Meets World cast photo

ETOnline.com interviewed Creator Michael Jacobs and he gave some scoop on the Boy Meets World guest stars and more.

Almost everybody from Boy Meets World are returning:

A good majority of Girl Meet World‘s first season was setting up the introductions of Riley, Maya, Farkle, Lucas and Auggie. Now that we know (and love!) this new generation of friends, it’s time to blend these two worlds. “We’re going to have guest appearances from almost everybody in the original cast,” Jacobs explained. “We’re going to resolve story-lines from the original show while keeping it the new show.”

“Will Friedle will visit us three times this year and his performances are absolutely brilliant,” said Jacobs. “He’s just one of the funniest people alive. The combination of his funny and his particular brand of heart is a signature for the piece.”

About Shawn:

“We’re about to reveal in an episode called “Girl Meets Hurricane”what is going on in Angela’s life,” Jacobs promised. “For Shawn and Angela, there will be resolution to that relationship.”

Jacobs continued, “We gave it so much thought and we decided that given the history of these characters and where they are in their lives, [that] will shape where they stand. We will be bombarded on Twitter after this episode airs. There will be people who love it, there will be people who don’t, but I will tell you that it’s real, and that’s what we were guided by.”

On seeing Boy Meets World references:

“There are remarkable things that we’re doing with old character references,” Jacobs spilled. “In the premiere week there’s a story about going back to Philadelphia and digging up the past — literally. They dig up a time capsule [in Feeny’s backyard], so we’ll see artifacts from the original series that were iconic artifacts.”

Plus, remember Chubbie’s — the hangout where Cory, Shawn and Topanga had some of their most epic moments? Well the new kids are going to be getting their own special place this year when Topanga takes over a bakery. “The kids need a place to hang out and to play,” Jacobs said. “Boy Meets World had Chubbie’s and in Girl Meets World it’s going to be Topanga’s.”

Rowan Blanchard

Starrymag.com interviewed Rowan Blanchard about Girl Meets World.

Q) What can you tease that we will get to see when “Girl Meets World” return from hiatus?

A) From what I know, there will be a new level of maturity in all of our characters and our storylines. Still hilarious scenarios, but with a new sense of maturity and growing up.

Q) Is there anything about your role as Riley that you have added that wasn’t originally scripted?

A) Great question! I would have to say some of her quirks, some of which I have in real life. There are certain things like the way she walks, the little smiles in peoples’ eyes, that make fictional characters seem very alive. That’s where the actor comes in.

Danielle Fishel's book

Check out bmwsequel.com’s  exclusive interview with Danielle Fishel! Big thank you to Danielle for taking the time to do this interview as well as answer some of YOUR questions! We love you Danielle!

BMW Sequel: You have a book “Normally, This Would be Cause for Concern: Tales of Calamity and Unrelenting Awkwardness” coming out (We pre-ordered it as well!) and we can’t wait for it to come out! How much fun was it to write the book and what can your fans look forward to from the book?

Everyone can pre-order the book here.

Danielle: Thank you for pre-ordering! Writing NTWBCFC was exciting for me because it was a new challenge I had never taken on. Even with as difficult as it was sometimes, and in hindsight how many changes I wish I would have made, it was a really fun process. Fans can look forward to a lot of funny pictures, stories from my childhood, and a little bit about what it’s like being in the public eye.

BMW Sequel: What made you decide to want to write a book?

Danielle: Partially I wanted to write a book because I had written one when I was sixteen but I had a ghost writer. I really love to challenge myself and push myself to new limits. My number one goal in life is to never stop improving myself. We are all works in progress as long as we recognize that we have areas where we can grow and improve and become better people. I also like to dispel the idea that celebrities have everything together all the time. No one does. I personally don’t find it relatable or comforting when I read stories about people who always seem to have the right answer. It makes me wonder, “What’s wrong with me? How do they have everything together all the time and I’m a buffoon half the time?” So, I wanted to share some funny stories of times when I clearly needed someone else’s guidance.

BMW Sequel: What was your favorite part to write in your new book?

Danielle: My favorite parts to write in the book were the chapters on my childhood and the chapter on my decision to go to college at twenty-seven. Reliving some of my favorite childhood stories was really fun and I’m such an advocate for continuing your education so I enjoyed telling people what a wonderful experience it was for me.
