It’s kind of hard to recap this episode as it was mainly about Eric being back and there were so much humor that we’ll summarize the episode. Will Friedle hasn’t lost a beat. He is such a comedic genius, we laughed throughout the episode which was fantastic. Thank you for returning, Will Friedle!

Riley and Maya were in a fight because of Lucas calling Maya a “short stack of pancakes”. Riley didn’t defend Maya and didn’t disagree with Lucas which made Maya frustrated. Maya then said “When being right is more important than being friends, then that’s the end of being friends.” They go to class. Cory tells them that he has someone with an unique set of skills who can fix this. That person is Eric who is called in by Cory to help fix things between the four friends. Eric is scratching at the door (LOL) and Riley goes to the door. She opens the door and it’s Eric in the Plays with Squirrels costume! Of course the audience went absolutely crazy. Eric licks his lollipop and goes “I have been summoned”. and Riley yells “STRRRAANGGERRRR!” and blows her whistle. Eric blows his whistle after her and then he dances (LOL). She closes the door afterwards, Cory and Topanga comes in to see what Riley is making a fuss about. She tells them “Caveman!”. Topanga corrects her and goes “Honey, it’s not a caveman, it’s your Uncle Eric. Okay, it’s a caveman.” They open the door and Eric comes in.

Eric greets them all and says “Niche” to Riley (Boy Meets World reference to “Plays with Squirrels”). Riley tells Eric that she’s in a fight with her best friend and Eric tells her “There will be no losing friends. Lose one friend, lose all friends, lose yourself.” We found out Eric was elected as a Mayor and he’s running for US Senate.

They go to Riley’s room and talk about the fight and try to resolve it and it’s still not working. Eric calls Maya all these different names including “Moesha”, haha! Next scene, they’re in the classroom, Cory tells them he brought a respected person to help them with their fight. The camera goes on Eric with tape on his face LOL. He takes off the tape afterwards. Eric opens the door and tells the class to go to the hallway. He had a heartfelt sweet moment with Cory and tells him “Thank you for believing in me”. Cory replies to hims and says “My brother”. Eric then went “My brother”. They’re in the hallway and Eric had them discuss their fight. They were slowly resolving the fight by talking about their insecurities since they called each other names that were about them. Cory told him “You fixed it”. Eric said “No yet. It goes deeper.” They were all talking about their insecurities while they were sitting down next to each other. Cory asks Eric “You got this?”. Eric said “Yeah, the people elected me Mayor because they trust me with their issues”. Riley tells Eric “You mean political issues?” Eric says “Nope, don’t know ANYTHING about those. They trust me with their people issues, which it turns out everybody has, and they all seem to show up right about now. The enemies are not each other guys. You’re all going through the same thing.” Cory says “It’s a part of growing up.”

The ending was so hilarious as they showed the news report about a picture of “Plays with Squirrels” winning to run for US Senate at Washington. We think this is the episode for “Girl Meets Mr. Squirrels goes to Washington” from one of the episodes the writers tweeted.

Eric calling Topanga “Tomato”. Eric talking about Jeopardy and how he’s a mayor of a St. Upid Town.

Topanga saying that Cory was right and that Eric is a mature and normal human person and then the camera goes on Eric as Plays with Squirrels and he says “I AM NOT”!

Eric calls Riley “niche” instead of “niece’.

Riley and Maya yelling at each other “I’m not talking to you and I’m not talking to yo. Topanga and Angela did in “The War” episode.

Cory referenced the war episode in class on how they had a huge fight.

Farkle shooting tennis balls at Maya. Minkus did this in Boy Meets World as well.
