Hey everyone,
I normally don’t like putting myself out there, but I am Sef, the creator/owner of Bmwsequel.com
When I heard Boy Meets World was being developed into a sequel series ‘Girl Meets World’, I was so eager because we didn’t have these types of shows anymore on the air. I was also so thrilled that it was the series creator of Boy Meets World, Michael Jacobs, returning to the helm.
I was so beyond happy about it and decided to create a fan website for the show. I learned about the show during reruns when I was 16 years old. I know practically almost every line from the episodes, along with the one-liners/catch phrases. Yes, you can call me slightly obsessed.
Fast forward 2 years later and Girl Meets World is now on the air. Watching Girl Meets World is such a fantastic show which teaches lessons, has great humor, great heart, and it’s entertaining. Lately, there have been a lot of shipping wars, and a lot of extreme bullying in the Girl Meets World fandom. All of these things combined made me lose interest from running the website which made me come to a decision to step down from the website. My partner Mar will be taking over from now on.
I haven’t been involved with the website along with the website’s social media since December which made me reach this decision. I’ll be watching Girl Meets World along with Fuller House, but I won’t be involved with the website anymore.
It’s been such a blast administrating the website with Mar and getting involved with the fans for 4 years, but it’s time for me to step down now. Mar has always been a great partner and friend to me, and she’s also great with the fans. I have no doubt the website will be great under her hands. I learned a lot while running this website. I won’t ever forget this experience. If you use Twitter, you can follow me if you’d like. Click the URL here:

Thank you everyone for such a fantastic journey!

Hello everyone.
I’ve added a new section to bmwsequel.com called “Kendra’s Korner”. You can see it at the top of the website on the menu bar. Basically that section takes you to my friend Kendra’s Girl Meets World blog. She writers really awesome blog posts and reviews on the show. You all should check it out!

Wow… It is hard to believe that 3 years went by already. It has been such a great adventure and such a pleasure running the website with my partner Mar. I reached out to her via Twitter on March 22, 2013 to help me run the website. You fans have been so great, and without you all, we certainly wouldn’t be here right now. We love interacting with all of you on the websites social media accounts. Thank you Disney for reaching out to Michael Jacobs and pitching the idea about bringing Boy Meets World back in a new way for the new generation. Thank you to Ben and Danielle for agreeing to come back as Cory and Topanga. We obviously wouldn’t be here today without you guys. Also, thank you so so much to the cast and writers for always supporting us. We really appreciate it.
Here’s to hopefully many more seasons to come.

Hello everyone,
I got in touch with someone at Disney about the scheduling for Girl Meets Sludge because I noticed in the press release that there was nothing airing in the 8:30PM time slot on November 20th. From what I was told, the scheduling has changed with the airing of this episode. Even though it says that Girl Meets Sludge is going to air in November on Disney’s press website, I was told the airdate will now be in January 2016 instead of next month.

The network wanted to make the change to bring in younger viewers. Starting in January of 2016 their name will be known as Freeform. Here is some info from Entertaintment Weekly:
Starting in January, ABC Family will be known as Freeform.
The switch is part of an effort to attract more of what the network calls “Becomers,” viewers between the ages of 14 and 34.
The network’s programming style — led by shows like Pretty Little Liars, The Fosters, and Young and Hungry — will essentially remain the the same.
In researching a new name, Freeform accomplishes a few different goals the network was striving to hit. The name suggested content that could be viewed on different screens and shared and discussed in multiple ways (ABC Family viewers are big on social media). That viewers no longer just consume content but create it as well was a consideration too. And Freeform, ultimately, was a name that simply generated a positve emotion. “We wanted an emotional response to a name that made people happy,” Ascheim said. “We got an overwhelmingly positive response. Freeform sounds like fun.”

Girl Meets World / September 7th, 2015
Greetings everyone,
We’ve decided to re-open our forums today (it was closed for nearly a year). The main reason why we’ve brought the forums back is because we’re doing Google Hangouts (we’ve implemented this a few weeks ago and it was a hit – thank you for tuning in!) and it’s much easier for everyone to submit their questions in our Google Hangout forum. We had people ask on our Facebook page and Twitter, but we find this much easier. You can also sign in via your Twitter/Facebook account on top right of forums instead of signing up for an account on forums so this makes it much easier for everyone to login.
We also have a forum called Episode Discussion. As the title says, this is where you discuss the episodes of Girl Meets World. We’ll still be using our social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter) to interact with our fans (we’re a fan page). We’re using this forum for discussing episodes / Google Hangout. Of course if you love message boards, you can sign up and post away. After all, we’re here as we’re Boy / Girl Meets World fans. We also have other new forums which you can see by checking out the forums.
Finally, thank you everyone for always supporting us. We have grown so much since we opened our website in November 2012. We wouldn’t of been here if it wasn’t for you guys.
Thank you,
Sefket and Mar

We are going to try out something new with you all. Tonight after the east coast showing of Girl Meets Creativity, a couple friends and I (Mar) are going to do a Google Hangout where we will discuss the episode. This is going to be a test run and if we get a lot of people interested then starting in September, we’ll do a show every Saturday at 8PM EST/5PM PST. We will talk about the newest episode and Girl Meets World in general. We are really hoping it will be something that you guys will like. Those of you with Facebook can post on this event page as you are listening and we’ll read some of your questions and comments on air. People with Twitter can just tweet us their comments/questions and if you don’t have social media account than don’t worry! You can either comment on here , or submit a question if you have a Gmail account through the Q and A feature that is on the hang out.
The Hangout will include special guest Nick. Some of you might know him as @rowanisbeyonce on Twitter. He’s an awesome fan of the show.
