Last year when Ben and Danielle were interviewed by Entertainment Weekly, they discussed the upcoming season finale episode “Girl Meets First Date“. With the episode airing next month (which the writers confirmed here) we thought now would be a great time to bring this interview back out. It answers the one question that everyone has been dying to know “Who’s Riley’s date?” For those that may not have read it, check out the quotes below:
(There are also interviews by Shineon-Media.com and OKMagazine.com below)
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What are you working on today? Last time I was here, you had dried milk on your face.
BEN SAVAGE (Cory Matthews): Cereal! Well, this episode is Riley’s first date, and it’s sort of the parents – really Cory – terrified that his daughter is going on her first date.
It’s basically how he’s handling it and then the date, and then Topanga’s character is a lot cooler and a lot more confident and happy.
DANIELLE FISHEL (Topanga Matthews): Yeah, all season long, the kids have been a foursome. They’re a group. But there are obvious flirtations between our daughter and her crush Lucas (Peyton Meyer). It’s the end of seventh grade, and people are starting to show an interest in coupling up. So this episode is really about Lucas getting up the nerve to ask Riley (Rowan Blanchard) out on a date, and it is Riley dealing with her first foray into a real adult situation like dating.

Examiner.com has interviewed Danielle recently.
I find it interesting that Danielle wasn’t aware that they were making Girl Meets World.
Quote from Examiner.com
The return to series television was an unexpected fork in the road for Fishel. The star who first brought Topanga into America’s living rooms in the 1990’s was prepared to look at acting in the rear-view mirror of her life as she was embarking on graduate school work in psychology. When producer Michael Jacobs called her to see if she might be interested in returning to the role of Topanga, she had just applied for her masters in marriage and family therapy and the prospect of series television proved an interesting dilemma.
“In my mind, acting and Hollywood were in the past and I was totally fine with that,” the actress recounted for me in a recent interview. “It wasn’t like I was sad or disappointed. I loved school, loved psychology. I wasn’t even thinking about it when suddenly I got the call from Michael (Jacobs) who said ‘hey I have something to tell you.’”

Ben posted on Instagram yesterday a picture of him, Danielle, Bill Daniels and Rider Strong together again. I see a picket fence along with cameras it seems in the background. Of course as you can all guess, this picture quickly went viral on the internet.
The caption is “The Feeny Crew”.
The writers tweeted a while back that the cast went to Mr. Feeny’s house to receive something from the past.
Check it below.
So this picture might be related to the tweet.
