“To all of our fans, friends, cast, and crew that have created and gone on this journey with us, we are forever grateful,” Corey wrote to us.
He adds for the fans: “I can’t thank you guys enough for the love & support you have given us as you watched us grow up on screen. These past years have given me experiences that I will never lose and a platform to grow not only as an artist but also as a human being. I can’t wait for the next chapter.”
For those of you who haven’t heard, Girl Meets World has been cancelled. Being a part of this show has been a fantastic and unique experience. Corey is in this months issue of Ferrvor Magazine which is out now. You can check out the pictures from his shoot in the embeded tweet below. There is an also an interview that is up that he did which you can read in full here http://www.ferrvor.com/corey-fogelmanis/ but we have quoted some of it below.
What was a younger Corey Fogelmanis like?
Baby Corey was Annie (the musical)’s number one fan. It was kind of like my whole life. I also wore my Spiderman costume to school every day. So yeah, I was pretty cool.
If not acting or singing, what is another dream job you might like to have?
Growing up, I was always very fond of my teachers, just in the sense that they were devoting their lives to educate others. I don’t know, I’ve just always had a lot of respect for people that do that. I don’t think I would necessarily call it my dream job, but I think teaching is something I could see myself doing. And I could see myself making a difference in the world by doing it.
If we get to spend a day with you on a day off what would we all be doing?
Honestly, it probably wouldn’t be very exciting. On my days off, I usually spend most of my time doing school. After school, it’s just a lot of Netflix or reading.
We notice that you love capturing images yourself with your classic Polaroid camera, Why photography for you?
There wasn’t a conscious decision when I thought: I want to be a photographer, or anything like that. I think it was more of just an interest in the different eras of technology and the exposure to cameras and things like that growing up. I was drawn to analog cameras and that’s why I generally shoot with Polaroid’s or the new Fujifilm cameras. But overall, the whole concept of photography and the difference between life through our eyes and life through a lens fascinates me and is what makes me so obsessed with it.
Corey will be doing a meet and greet/autograph signing in St. Joseph Missouri at the East Hills Mall on November 19th. It is part of an event for the tree lighting. The meet and greet/free autograph signing will be from from 4-6PM.
1. He was seriously the sweetest guy ever: We can’t emphasize this enough. Corey is so easy to hang out with and fun to be around, it’s easy to forget he’s a celeb! Hanging out with Corey feels like you’re hanging out with an old friend.
2. He totally slayed our quiz: While Corey was in our office, we gave him our Official Popmania Quiz. We can’t wait to share his answers with you all! From his emoji usage to his doodles, everything was on point.
3. He shared major GMW spoilers: And we mean *major* — Corey told us about everything from the Christmas episode to the season finale (it’s gonna be SO good). We can’t wait to see what the rest of season 3 has in store.
Corey stars in new movie called “Mostly Ghostly: One Night In The Doom House” which is now out on Netflix, DVD, On Demand, and Digital Download! He recently did an interview with MTV where he talked about his movie. We’ve quoted the part where the movie is discussed but make sure you check out the rest of this awesome interview! You can read it here:
Mostly Ghostly: One Night in Doom House, is the third installment of the book series of the same name by R.L. Stine, whom Fogelmanis credits with developing his love of reading, thanks to Goosebumps. In the film, he plays a magician named Max Doyle who accidentally upsets evil spirits when he tries to help his two ghost friends. The film costars Scream actor Jamie Kennedy, whose improvisational skills cracked Fogelmanis up.
“Something I really enjoyed about working with [Kennedy] was he improvised like half of the scenes,” Fogelmanis said. “Everything he would do was different, and it was really hard for me to like, literally not laugh in the middle of a take, ’cause he was so funny.”
