There isn’t a lot of information out on this but we wanted to congratulate Corey as well as Peyton Clark on their new roles! I think is for a movie called “Squad Goals” but I am not 100% on this. When more info comes out we will share it! Congrats again to Corey and Peyton! Looking forward to seeing what this is all about. For those that don’t know Peyton is dating Sabrina’s sister Sarah and was on Disney Channels’ show “I Didn’t Do It”.
Corey is going to be starring in a theatre adaption called “Dog Sees God” which will have shows on Feb 11 and Feb 12th of this month at The Blank Theatre in Santa Monica CA. The play will consist of a teenage cast and will tackle issues of bullying and LGBTQ tolerance through dark humor. A portion of the sale of tickets will go to an LGBTQ support organization. The play will be directed by Maxwell Peters. We are so proud of you Corey! I wish I was in LA to see this!
If you are in the LA area and would like to see him in this adaption you can get your tickets for $20 by going here:
Corey was interviewed by PulseSpikes.com where he talked about going to college, photography, and girl Meets World. There is also pictures from the photo shoot they did with him. We have quoted some of the interview below but you can go to this link to read the rest:
What compelled you to decide to go to college, even with all this momentum for your career?
I’ve always planned on going to college, so my choice of career wasn’t really going to change that. I think the experience and the education that comes out of a college degree is beneficial to a person regardless of the career they choose.
What classes do you want to take?
Lately, I’ve been really interested in Literature- so maybe Comparative Literature or something along those lines, in addition to the classes that are part of my major.
How will you further your love of photography while in school or on set?
Part of the fun is the spontaneity of it, so I try to keep a camera with me for the beautiful unexpected moments that come along in life.
What can people expect from your character at the end of the season on Girl Meets World? Are there any surprises or questions?
So much of this last season has been set around the triangle, which was put to rest a few months ago. The last few episodes of the season are focused on the dynamic of the entire group and set the focus back to the friendships that have been the main theme of the show since the beginning.
What’s your favorite part about photography?
Right now, I mostly shoot landscapes and architecture, and I really appreciate the singular aspect of it. It’s so nice to be on my own with my camera, and experiment with the world through my camera lens.
Corey Fogelmanis who as we all know plays Farkle Minkus on Girl Meets World has recently shown his support for the fans who are campaigning to save the show. He’s done two different interviews where he’s talked about the shows end. One was with Zimbio and the other is with Just Jared Jr and both quotes that include his thoughts on the efforts are quoted below! Make sure you check out both of his interviews. You can check them out by click on the purple text! It will take you right to them. 🙂
Zimbio: So, if Girl Meets World were picked up by another network (cough cough Hulu), would you stay on?
Corey: I would like to think I would, yes, of course. It all depends. There are so many things to take into account. Of course if everyone else came back, we do have more stories to tell, so if we were given the opportunity, I think it’d be nice to pick back up where we left off.
Zimbio: It would.
Corey: Either way it’ll be alright.
Here is the quote from Just Jared Jr:
What do you think about the fan campaigns to save the show and thoughts about Netflix picking it up?
I honestly don’t know what we did to deserve an audience so loyal. All I can say is thank you to everyone who has ever watched the show and supported our careers and a huge thank to everyone campaigning for the show on social media.
“To all of our fans, friends, cast, and crew that have created and gone on this journey with us, we are forever grateful,” Corey wrote to us.
He adds for the fans: “I can’t thank you guys enough for the love & support you have given us as you watched us grow up on screen. These past years have given me experiences that I will never lose and a platform to grow not only as an artist but also as a human being. I can’t wait for the next chapter.”
For those of you who haven’t heard, Girl Meets World has been cancelled. Being a part of this show has been a fantastic and unique experience. I love every single member of the cast and crew with all my heart. I sincerely hope that this show has touched all of you, and that you are inspired to do good. Please enjoy the January episodes that we are so proud of. Thank you all❤❤
Corey is in this months issue of Ferrvor Magazine which is out now. You can check out the pictures from his shoot in the embeded tweet below. There is an also an interview that is up that he did which you can read in full here http://www.ferrvor.com/corey-fogelmanis/ but we have quoted some of it below.
What was a younger Corey Fogelmanis like?
Baby Corey was Annie (the musical)’s number one fan. It was kind of like my whole life. I also wore my Spiderman costume to school every day. So yeah, I was pretty cool.
If not acting or singing, what is another dream job you might like to have?
Growing up, I was always very fond of my teachers, just in the sense that they were devoting their lives to educate others. I don’t know, I’ve just always had a lot of respect for people that do that. I don’t think I would necessarily call it my dream job, but I think teaching is something I could see myself doing. And I could see myself making a difference in the world by doing it.
If we get to spend a day with you on a day off what would we all be doing?
Honestly, it probably wouldn’t be very exciting. On my days off, I usually spend most of my time doing school. After school, it’s just a lot of Netflix or reading.
We notice that you love capturing images yourself with your classic Polaroid camera, Why photography for you?
There wasn’t a conscious decision when I thought: I want to be a photographer, or anything like that. I think it was more of just an interest in the different eras of technology and the exposure to cameras and things like that growing up. I was drawn to analog cameras and that’s why I generally shoot with Polaroid’s or the new Fujifilm cameras. But overall, the whole concept of photography and the difference between life through our eyes and life through a lens fascinates me and is what makes me so obsessed with it.
Corey will be doing a meet and greet/autograph signing in St. Joseph Missouri at the East Hills Mall on November 19th. It is part of an event for the tree lighting. The meet and greet/free autograph signing will be from from 4-6PM.
