Girl Meets World Poster

We’ve noticed a lot of people saying Girl Meets World better have Eric, Shawn, Morgan #1, Morgan #2, Joshua and many of the BMW cast members on this show. Girl Meets World is for a new generation and Michael Jacobs, Ben and the cast made that clear everywhere. The BMW cast members will have guest spots if they want to be on the show, but we’re not sure if any of them will be regulars. Rider said in an interview that he wouldn’t be a regular for Girl Meets World but that he agreed to guest star. There is no word about Will Friedle, Matthew Lawrence, Trina Mcgee, or Maitland Wardcoming back. Morgan was talked about in the early stages of planning for Girl Meets World. Michael Jacobs and Lily Nicksay who played Morgan number one had lunch and talked about it but since then we’ve not heard anything.

Michael Jacobs: For those looking for a “Boy Meets World” part two, Jacobs wants to be sure that viewers knows that “Girl Meets World” will be its own show. “I think it’s really necessary for the audience to understand this,” he told reporters. “My feeling is that the premise of the show is about these two girls having a friendship and going off into the world we know now. ‘Girl Meets World’ will be unique from ‘Boy Meets World’ in that way. However, it is the child of an original program. There is no way that I’m not going to include everyone that wants to be included on this piece, because they’re the genesis of the piece. For me, we may build a new house, but we are building it on ground, and that ground is ‘Boy.’”

Will it be accessible for people who have never seen Boy Meets World?

Ben Savage: It’s important for people to understand that it’s not going to be picking up where Boy Meets World left off. We’re trying to create a show for a brand new generation of kids to grow up with and learn from and enjoy. I hope that some of the fans who grew up with us, and who might be a little older now, aren’t expecting to turn it on and see Boy Meets World all over again. We’re basically going all the way back to season one, episode one, scene one, and take one of Boy Meets World. Only, this time, it’s from a girl’s perspective.

Girl Meets World Logo

You’ve got to hand it to Girl Meets World – even the Disney Channel sitcom’s logo manages to serve as a throwback to its ’90s predecessor.

TVLine has an exclusive first look at the official logo for 2014′s highly anticipated Boy Meets World sequel series — featuring grown-up Cory and Topanga as the parents of Riley and Auggie Matthews – and it turned out pretty much exactly as we’d hoped.

The typography, the globe… it’s all there.

Ben Savage Directing

Boy Meets World star Ben Savage is going behind the camera.

The actor has been tapped to make his directorial debut on the Disney Channel update Girl Meets World, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. “It’s something I’ve been prepping for for the last 20 years,” Savage tells THR. Production on the episode begins at the end of the month.

According to an official episode synopsis, the installment centers on a makeover led by Cory’s and Topanga’s teenage daughter and her friends. “In an effort to make an odd girl more appealing to Farkle (Corey Fogelmanis), Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) remake her in their image,” reads the description. “But Farkle shows everyone that true beauty comes from within.”

Quoted from People.com,

In her new memoir, Normally, This Would be Cause of Concern, the former child star humorously recalls her experience growing up in front of the camera and the antics she also survived off-set.

From unsuccessful auditions to dating, the actress opens up about a variety of mishaps, including falling down a flight of stairs in a room full of people, a romantic moment with her significant other being ruined by “horrendous gas” and face-planting in front of Ben Affleck.

We posted a a while back about new information on Danielle’s book and her amazing cover shoot (she’s so gorgeous!).

Normally, This Would be Cause for Concern: Tales of Calamity and Unrelenting Awkwardness will be out on September 9, 2014!
