One of our amazing writers Gabby wrote an article titled “Walt Disney would be proud of Girl Meets World”. Scroll down to read it.

“You don’t need strength to let go of something. What you really need is understanding.”

It’s human nature to be scared of change. To doubt things that are new. We’ve all been there: I know I have. And it’s equally as hard to accept a continuation of a show that’s so beloved and dear to our hearts, like Boy Meets World.

Some of you guys may know me as that pesky girl on the internet, always writing up open letters to the fans and audience of Boy/Girl Meets World. But I feel so strongly about this new show, that it’s difficult not to take the criticism, personally. Especially when I know that the criticism has no merit. And it’s extremely unfair.

I was a child of the 90’s, like many of you. Life was much more innocent and relaxed during those years. I didn’t have an iPad at 5. I watched VHS tapes. And had to rewind them when I was done watching them. I didn’t have cable television for a long time. We had limited channels and programming. There was no computers, no internet and certainly: no cell phones. I was 17 when my parents finally allowed me to have a cell phone. True story. I played in the front yard with my friends and got my pants and shorts dirty from playing in the grass. I went to the library and opened up a book to do some research for my homework and school projects.
It was a different time back then.

AfterBuzz TV interviewed Corey Marsh (Disney Channel Executive) and Michael Jacobs (Creator of Boy and Girl).

Watch the amazing interview here(Scroll down to see the key points we posted):

Here are many key points Michael Jacobs wrote:

– Old audience “Stay”. You will love the episodes.
– He’s hopeful Will Friedle will return. Will wasn’t in the first season and there is a very good reason for that and it may of been because of Michael Jacobs (he was laughing :D). Will Friedle is very much missed by them.
– Michael Jacobs and Ray Colcord(Composer) wrote a theme song and it was in competition until they heard “Take On the World” and they said their song wasn’t as good as “Take on the World”.
– The scariest moment of the Pilot for Disney was the deep scene with Cory and Maya as they didn’t know how the audience would react to it or not. They were doing a test for their Pilot the deep scene about Maya saying she has no one at home that helps her with her homework and they said it was a deep breathe of fresh air as the audience said it was their favorite moment as it was relatable. Corey Marsh said he would love to have this on every show going forward.

Boy (and Girl) Meets World creator Michael Jacobs exclusively spilled to ETonline that he’s thrilled for audiences to finally get a chance to see the series. “I think the new audience coming in is going to love this and love these girls.” The showrunner said. “They’re just very real and very interesting.”

But for those of you who think Girl Meets World is just a silly kids show—think again. “We’re not writing down to an audience, we’re always writing up,” Jacobs explained. “We wrote up with Boy and we’re doing that with again with this.”
