There are a couple of media articles that came out tonight where Michael Jacob’s discusses the series finale and also talks about wanting to continue Girl Meets World. One thing I love is that he talks about what he wants to the show to be like if he continues and to be honest we can’t wait to see it if it does! WE have included quotes from both articles as well as all information you need in joining our efforts to save Girl Meets World! Don’t give up hope and focus on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon like you have been doing. There is also a quote included on here from a post that I made yesterday that has info from someone close to the show in regards to the Netlfix stuff that was put out by the Wrap yesterday. I have icnluded all this information into one post after these articles because per Michael he’d love it the show to continue.

Quote from TVLine

“To create closure in any circumstance, you have to be certain that it’s what the audience wants and it’s the right thing to do,” Jacobs explains. “If Shawn was adopted by Turner — remember, the Matthews also wanted to adopt him — that would have been a betrayal of his father. Chet Hunter was such an interesting character, and Shawn’s chasing after his father was so remarkable. I wanted to sustain it. There was something instinctive in me that said, ‘Being adopted was not his happiness.’ Just like there was something in me that said, ‘Maya Hart is the beginning of Shawn’s happiness.’ She attracted Shawn to the idea that he could be a father and a husband someday. That’s why we wrote the Turner line. You think your closure is going to come from one place, but no.”

Quote from Deadline:

“I’m making an attempt to find a home for an evolution of the franchise,” he said. “The last thing we want to do is overstay our welcome when we have always been so warmly received. But the idea I have to continue is a good one. If somebody moves on it immediately, great. If not, it’s been on the air going on 25 years. Lots of lessons learned.”

What is Jacobs’ idea for a potential fourth season? His answer is a little ominous, hinting at a possible death.

“The series was always about a strong friendship,” he said. (‘Girl Meets Goodbye’ hit that home with its “Riley and Maya are forever” theme that framed the episode.) “The first season was dedicated to that. The second season was about growth. The third season was about experiencing feelings and the fourth season was going to be about dealing with change and loss and learning something from it as we have from all of our episodes.”

Copy and pasted this from a post a I made yesterday in regards to Netflix things. I also want to add that I talked to Linda and she understands and has no hard feelings towards BMWSequel for posting this to you guys. She understands we want to encourage you guys to keep ALL efforts going! Also want to say that the info in the quote is is what I was told when I asked someone close to the show if I should I stop efforts towards Netflix.

Hello everyone,

I have spoken to someone that is close to the show and was told I could post this. There are active discussions going on right now with a number of different venues. They have no knowledge of being shot down by anyone at this point. Please keep doing what you are doing. Send the planes, write to Netflix, Hulu, Amazon etc. Take this as you will believe it or don’t. I know there has been a lot of confusion and looked into what the Wrap posted today and this is what I was told!

Go to the Feedback Form (click on the purple text to go to the form) and in the menu select “Titles in Prime” suggest Girl Meets World as an original Amazon Prime series. Tell them how much you love the show etc. I spoke to an Amazon rep and they send the feedback to the production department. Make sure you nice and very clear that you want this to be an ORIGINAL SERIES. I would even go as far as compliment them on their service in general. Amazon loves their customers/

Another way to contact amazon is at this link below where you can call, email, and chat with them online! Make sure you are nice to them and clear you want this to be an original series. Basically do what you have been doing with Hulu and Netflix! 🙂
