Hey Everyone,

Originally I was told by sources(and yes I do have them regardless of you doubting me or not) that Netflix was not an option due to contractual issues. However I was told today that Netflix might actually be an option now. Apparently there has been a large fan surge with Netflix. Here is all the contact info you need to get in on “The Move Girl Meets World to Netflix” campaign. Below are phone numbers, links and email addresses for you to use to tell Netflix how much you want Girl Meets World to be on their platform.

Go on the contact form and suggest Girl Meets World:

I'm Mar and I'm the website owner of BMWSequel.com. My favorite shows include: Once Upon A Time, Girl Meets World, Switched at Birth, Baby Daddy, Scream Queens and Pretty Little Liars. In my my free time I love working on this website to keep you all updated on everything Girl Meets World, the cast projects what the writers are up to. I also love spending time with my family and two cats. My 4 year old nephew is my whole world. <3 Side Note: I've been able to visit the set of Girl Meets World twice now and that cast is SO wonderful and welcoming. They are the most kindest people I have ever met. 🙂

How would a fan surge change the fact that there are contractual issues?

    • Most likely Disney would retain the rights and make some money but spend none of their’s to make a new season.

    • Shawn Bronald

Netflix and Disney already have a partnership as many popular Disney shows, past and present, are already streaming on Netflix. I’m sure any potential “contractual issues” would be easy to sort out.

    • Chris

Easy. Disney will sell the rights to Netflix.

  • Mattalicious

There’s no way Disney gives up rights to this show….they own ABC And Boy Meets World because of that. Should have been on ABC in The first place.

    • Kyle_Maloney

Well, no one’s saying they would, licensing is not the same as giving up all rights. They just wouldn’t be funding it.

    • Russkafin

Netflix already has previous seasons of Girl Meets World… I know that’s not the same as having the rights to produce new episodes but at least it’s a foot in the door, maybe? Who knows. We can only let them know there is a demand for it, and hope.

After watching the World Meets Girl episode tonight and the preview for Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen, I get the impression that the show’s fate to end after this third season was already decided despite what the stars and writers have let hang out there implying that it could be saved. Taking it to another channel might be possible in theory, but what if one of the major players felt they didn’t want to sign a new contract and the show producers didn’t want to make anyone the bad guy by saying so. Many past young Disney stars wanted to move on to more mature roles and maybe maturing the characters on Netflix or Freeform wasn’t as appealing as leaving the character behind for new horizons.

we will never know unless we try. Dont think of the road blocks this may hold only what we want the outcome to be. positive thoughts not negative. be hopefully.. this show has helped with my son on so many different issues he has faced in school. It should be continued and i refuse to give up hope. for those of you who love this show too you should feel the same way too. FAITH!!

  • Dragon Aim

Is there anything else we can do? I already requested the show on Netflix, tried to get in touch with Ted Sarandos, and tweeted them.

  • Dee

We should suggest to everybody to watch it on Netflix so their numbers rose and they can see with their own numbers the show isn’t just good for Fandom but it’s good business! Got to look at it and approach from a few perspectives. Email, call, and write and support them. Show this is a deal that scratches everybody’s back.

  • Chris

Show was doomed from the start. The pilot was more cringe worthy then BMW was keep shoving the word “world” in our faces. Cory and Topanga who forbid their daughter to take the subway alone all of a sudden let her take it for a few blocks and back just because she, after what? 10 years decided to help her best friend and have a guy (Lucas) who she just met and parents don’t even know come along to the subway for her “meeting the world” (the few blocks in new york that consist of a Starbucks McDonald’s and probably some high end clothing store(

Though the show did have some strong points buy towards the end everything felt rushed.
