I have been to several tapings and this one was my favorite as it was a true reunion episode. The episode taped on March 18th is called “Girl Meets Home For The Holidays”. It starts off with Cory being excited because Shawn is finally coming to visit. He has a “Cory and Shawn foreva” ornament that he hangs over his wedding ornament. Topanga is worried that Amy will criticize her and Cory says it’s going to be “hideous”. Maya doesn’t believe that Shawn exists because she never sees him. Riley says it’s because Shawn does not like her very much. Cory’s parents are the first to arrive at the apartment. Cory is disappointed that it’s not Shawn and Topanga can hear Amy being critical about Topanga throwing the holiday party.

In the next scene the parents arrive at the apartment and Cory’s younger brother shows up a few moments later. Cory says he cannot believe they are brothers and the brother says because he’s a “surprise”. Finally Shawn sneaks into the apartment without Cory noticing. He is overjoyed to see Shawn. Shawn says hello to everybody and you can tell they have not seen each other in a while. He kind of brushes off the girls. He sees and Topanga and says “Mrs Cory” and she calls him “Mr Cory”. There’s a cute moment where Cory says “my favorite person and my wife”.

Riley does not understand why Shawn is so cold towards her. Shawn finally takes Maya and Riley to a restaurant and he explains that he knows her birthday and was the 3rd person who held her when she was born. He said he moved out of NYC the day after she was born.

Riley gets Cory and Shawn to sit down and talk and they explain how much they miss each other. During their talk Farkle shows up at the window and Shawn looks at him and goes “Minkus??” He is surprised that Minkus “reproduced”. There’s a moment between Cory and Riley where they point to Maya and Shawn and say “they’re us” or something to that effect. Shawn and Maya get to talking about how their parents have brought them up similarly. Shawn says he would never do that.

The episode ends with Cory and Topanga exchanging gifts and Shawn says he’s going to upstate New York next weekend and invites Riley and Auggie to come along. Riley invites Maya to come too. There’s a final scene that was prerecorded and it has the whole group sitting in the restaurant together.
